Participating in an international short term volunteer project (so called Workcamp) can be an exciting experience. It is interesting opportunity to travel with purpose and spend 2-3 weeks in a foreign environment. Working and living together with other volunteers from around the world provides an excellent opportunity to make many new friends, learn about unknown places and culture, share your experience with other participants , gain new skills and experience. Your time, energy, and enthusiasm can make a difference in areas where help is really needed.

In a workcamp no special skills, experience or knowledge are needed , but we expect your motivation and creativity . The activities carried out are always respective of each participant’s physical abilities. Technical leaders in each project lead the working process and constantly monitor the safety of volunteers. The common work is foreseen as a way for getting better understanding, building friendship and work with local community to achieve a concrete project for the common interest.

In addition ,  you have to participate at least one or tow times in preparing meals for the group  or cleaning the place where the volunteers lodge, and also contribute to the activities that are organize by the workcamp group

Types of Projects

There is a wide variety of different international volunteer short term projects. They include mainly one of the following types of activities:

environmental and nature protection activities, ecology, gardening and forestry
renovation and restoration of social, cultural, historic sites
archaeological excavations and historical heritage work
work with orphans and other socially disadvantaged children
preparation of different festivities, festivals, cultural events
